AMADEUS LIVE film concert

AMADEUS LIVE film concert Saturday, August 22, 2026, 8:00 PM (rain date: August 23) Margaret Island Open Air Theatre Running time: 180 minutes (with 1 intermission) Miloš Forman's 8-Oscar-winning film with live orchestral accompaniment and original text in English with Hungarian subtitles in two parts. Composer: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart The Győr Philharmonic Orchestra and the Budapest Scoring Choir will participate. Conductor: Ernst van Tiel Rediscover one of the most magical encounters between music and cinema! Amadeus—Miloš Forman’s legendary work, awarded with eight Oscars—comes to the stage of the Margaret Island Theatre in a special form: during the screening of the film in its original language, a live orchestra brings to life the immortal works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, conducted by Ernst van Tiel. Every moment of the story is woven through Mozart’s music: in the dark frame story, the memories of the elderly Antonio Salieri are accompanied by the dramatic 25th Symphony, while the tensions with his father are intensified by the poignant details of Don Giovanni. The climax of the story is Mozart’s unfinished masterpiece, the Requiem, composed on a mysterious commission. Amadeus is a captivating journey into a world of genius, envy, and passion—where film and live music come together to create an unforgettable, immersive experience. The production is made possible by Avex Classics International and FILM with Live Orchestra. TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED ONLINE

A Trip to Brac Croatia by Private Plane August 24-28

Leaving from Tokol Hungary and flying down to the island of Brac. It's near the end of season so it will be less busy and not as hot. Im staying in Sumartin but if you prefer to just travel down with us and then go to BOL or some other place it's your choice. But you will more than welcome to join me. I have arranged accommodations in a boutique hotel that has a salt water swimming pool which is located in the heart of Sumartin a few steps from the water. You have to arrange your own accommodation. I can help with that. The town is serviced by a Ferry which goes to the Mainland making it an easy day trip. For Local transportation you can rent a car or moped. I will be exploring the island by Moped. There are fantastic hidden restaurants cooking up local food. The flight down and back is usually around 2 hrs each way. The cost for the flight round trip is 290 Euros which includes airport charges. My accommodation is quoted at 90 Euros a night. I have a discount taxi service so it's reasonable. If you are interested please call me for details at +36 307 106 755 The location is where we meet in Hungary for the flight.
